Description

This is a speculative project that imagines a future where a feminist political party has emerged in the United States. In the year 2052, after winning local and state elections, the Feminist Party won presidential office. Despite this seemingly positive turn of events, feminist rebel groups are emerging in opposition to the Feminist Party. The central message of their demonstrations is that the electoral system is too flawed, and the Feminist Party is a false illusion of a feminist society. As a whole, this work speaks to different motivations within feminism and the conflicts that can emerge between those who want to fix the system versus those who want to create a new system.
